Little Horse with a big heart
Des is a very special young Stallion, combining top Thoroughbred and Connemara performance blood, giving not only the X-Factor, presence and stunning movement but a superb nature and conformation to boot.

Purpose bred with Eventing in mind and the desire to breed larger hacks with Connemara blood we are crossing back to straight T.B mares from which Des is producing an absolutely stunning type, typically with plenty of bling - all we had hoped for and looking to mature 16.1 + from good sized mares.

Under Saddle 2017

and Des was lightly backed by Paul as a 4 rising 5 year old, though due to timing he was never finished.
In July 2017 and now rising 8yrs Courtney took the reins and the pair have gone ahead in leaps and bounds.
With his debut outing at the Canterbury Spring into action show September 2017, followed by Northern and Ashburton A&P"s in October, Des has captivated his audience with a wide range of admirers. His impeccable manners have really impressed and seen him come home with incredible results, numerous wide sashes and winning every ridden conformation class to date in both Novice and Open rings, including wins in Paced and Mannered.
2018
After a well deserved break over the breeding season December through January ….which Des thoroughly enjoyed, Courtney had HOY in her sights but needed one further A&P to qualify and being late in the season only one HOY qualifier was available, and saw us travel 4 hrs in February to Palmerston - East Otago A&P. The pair again excelled with exceptional results from stiff competition. Courtney's HOY goals are set and preparation's are now under way!
It's a reasonable distance from Canterbury S.I to the Hawkesbay in the N.I, with the Cook Straight Ferry crossing in between, but Des took it all in his stride, travelled well and having never overnighted away from home adjusted remarkably well . Again Des drew quite the following now with admirers the length and breadth of NZ. - Go the little Connemara X
It was well worth the trip, Courtney rode Des beautifully for the win - Open Saddle Hunter under 163cm HOY 2018 - Goals achieved!

Canterbury Desssage Autumn Series 2018 season.. Wembleybrook By Design did it again, winning both his tests with a new Personal Best score of 72.14% and bringing home the Level 1 series Championship!!

Synchroflex Festival of Future Stars

Fantastic weekend at Canterbury Dressage with Wembleybrook By Design.
Saturday saw us compete in the Mitavite NZ Future Stars Showing, placing 1st in the Ridden 7yrs+ Stallion/ Gelding and 2nd in the Ridden 7yrs+ S/G Performance Class. Being sashed with Res Champion 7yrs+ Adult to Jane Jacksons lovely mare Astek Galileo.
Sunday finished on a high with Des winning both his tests and bringing home the Synchroflex Festival of Future Stars Level 1 Champion!!
