Sterling was presented at the 2017 Connemara Inspections achieving Class 1 status, well done wee man!
Wembleybrook Sterling has excelled at a young age in the Show ring -
- Canterbury A&P show 2015, and 2 years of age he won his age group class, Champion Youngstock & Champion Purebred Connemara. What a debut his first outing and up against some stunning Connie's, he really did do the stud proud!
- Continuing this success at two further A&P's in 2016 as a 3 yr old bringing home both Champion youngstock sashes, Champion Purebred sashes and Supreme Connemara Exhibit at each outing one of which was the Royal show Rangiora where he also received the RAS Royal Show Medal.
- The Inaugural S.I Native Breed Show held in 2017 - having won his age class, Champion Youngstock Connemara and Grand Champion Purebred Connemara, he continued his success and went forward to represent the Connemara's in the Grand Champion Stallion of Show, with 8 breeds represented .... low and behold he came away this title too!!

It is with great sadness that Wb Sterling having been diagnosed with a heart condition, was put to rest in April 2017. Showing no signs of illness nor being deemed hereditary this was a particularly difficult decision, however, it was made following sound Veterinary advice and deemed the result of a bacterial infection.
He gave us so much joy and it was a privilege to have been given the very short time we had with him. An out standing pony that will be sorely missed.
